At this page you can see everyting I've made at school in TTO 1.

Flip flap boekje

For art education we had to search for information about Tim Burton.

The information that I found about Tim Burton are these things:



Timothy William Burton is born on the 25 of august 1958 in Burbank Californië. Tim Burton is an American drawer, film director and producer. He’s remarkable for his dark humor, gothic style and references to cartoons and horror movies.

Tim Burton had a predilection for cartoons and horror. He is very creative. He studied 3 years long animation on the California instituut of the arts. In 1980 he started to work as an animator for Disney.

The movies he directed are:

• Charlie and the chocolate factory

We had to make a drawing that is inspired by the work of Tim Burton.

The best idea is that you firt make some sketches. Than pick out the best one and draw that on a piece of A4 paper.

Now you have made your drawing, you can make a flip flap boekje with the drawing you made.We had to think about something your character is going to do.

My character gives you a wink.

I hope you are going to do this too, but it's a lot of work, because each little movement your character makes you have to draw 4 times!! As you see in the little movie for just that little movie I drawed that character 65 times.

Window View

At school I've made a window view.

What is a window view?

A window view is a view out of a window.

I will explain how you make a window view

First take a picture out of a window.

This is  the picture out of my window :

Taken a picture??

Copy than the picture you have taken with pencil on an A3 paper.

Have you done that???

Erase the pencil lines and draw the lines with ink and colour it furder in.

Left something in your window view white, because then your picture is going to breath.

Let the ink dry.  

If the ink is dry your window view is clear!!

Now I will show my window view, but we also had to ad and erase some things in our window view.

Colours

Heey,

This time I'm going to tell you something about colours.

You have primairy colours that are: yellow, blue and red , there are also secondary colours that are : orange, purple and green.

I think that you all know the colourcircle, but for when you don't know here is the colourcircle!!

Soo, now you know what a colour circle is!!

I had to make a colourcircle at school with poster paint.

 I'll explain you how to do this.

Materials that you need

• paper
• pair of compassess
• ruler
• pencil
• posterpaint ( red, yellow and blue)

How you do this.

Step 1:

Draw with your pair of campasses so large as possible a circle on the paper.

In that circle you draw a smaller circle.

Then you divide your circle in six species and draw lines between it, if you have done that draw three pieces in the pentagon. one between the top and the second of the left and one between the top and the second of the right then you have three pieces and one in the middle now draw in the middle three pieces like in the colourcircle above.

Between the two circles divide it into twelf equal pieces.

Now you are ready to colour it in.

step 2:

first colour in the primarycolours in the middle, yellow in the upper branch, blue in the left branch and red in the branch at the right.

If you have done that let the posterpaint dry!!

Wait until it is dry

Then mix the colours yellow and blue to get green and colour that like the colour circle do that also with red and blue to get purple and with yellow and red to get orange. color it in like a colourcircle now let it dry again!! 

Then paint and mix the colourcircle further like in the colourcircle until you have drawn everything that you need to draw if you did it correct you get a collourcircle!!

 Patterns

There are a lot of patterns everywere you come are patterns, in your house at school in the garden everywere.

 Look what are this???

Yes, it are a lot of different patterns!

Look in your house there are a lot of patterns, but jou don't see them or you think that it's not a pattern.

I give you one example of a pattern that you probably have on your walls.

Maybe you don't believe it ,but this is my wallpaper and it is a pattern.

For my art lessons I take pictures from nature.

This are the pictures.

I have made two patterns inspired by the pictures I took.

At school I made with wax crayons on a paper a lot of different patterns.

First you put your paper on a wall and next put your wax crayon on the paper.

We also get an essaiment to make wallpaper on a piece of paper, you had to use different patterns and mix them together, so you get your own designed pattern.

I have made my own wallpaper on a A2 paper.

Graffiti

Do you know what graffiti is??

I'll show you some examples if you don't know what graffiti is.

So now you know what graffiti is.

At school I had to  make things that you can use for graffiti.

I have got 2 examples for you that you can make.

1. A graffiti stencil

What is a graffiti stencil?

A graffiti stencil is a shape or a thing cut out of a piece of paper.

You can use it to graffiti on something.

Maybe you think how do I make a graffiti stencil??

I'll explain for you how you can do this.

You draw on a sheet of paper a shape that you like doesn't matter what.

Than cut it out carefully.

If you have done it correctly you can use.

2.  Your name in graffiti

At school I made my name in graffiti.

First you make your name with pensil on a A4 paper.

Have you done that??

Erase the pencil lines and draw your name in graffiti with wax crayons.

Self-portrait



Heej,

At school we had to make a self-portrait.

Not a normal self-portrait, but one to let people see your characteristics.

First I will show my self-portrait and then I will explain what you have to do.

My self-portrait :

There is just one ear on my self-portrait, because I'm not always listening very well.

I've drawn a big smile, because I'm often happy, but you don't always see how I'm feeling.

I have drawn two normall eyes, because I think I look through my eyes as the most other people.

And finally a big nose, because I like it when something smells nice.

Now it is your turn to make a self-portrait!!

I hope you will enjoy making your own self-portrait.

TIP: Make a self-portrait of for example a friend give it to him and explain why you have drawn him/her like that.
